Simple, healthy, and nut-free granola. It's perfect for a quick snack, breakfast, or holiday brunch. Crunch sunflower seeds, tart cranberries, and maple syrup combine with organic oats to make a healthy granola.
Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats (One Degree Organic Foods)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2 scoops vanilla protein powder (Orgain Organic Protein)
1/2 cup no sugar added dried cranberries (Honestly Cranberries)
2 tbsp orange zest (1 orange)
5 tbsp orange juice
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbs maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, protein powder, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, combine olive oil, maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Give a good mix and evenly spread the granola on a baking sheet.
Place the granola in the oven for 30 minutes, turning the granola every 10 minutes.
Once golden brown, remove the granola from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
